This talk gives the speaker the opportunity to share with their local community the perseverance in their life with Christ after their Walk to Emmaus or Chrysalis or Journey flight. This is a time for personal testimony. It is part of the worship service and should be no longer than 10 - 15 minutes.

Points to Remember/Consider:

- This is a Fourth Day talk --focus on the Fourth Day - your experience after your walk.

- Remembering we have committed to be Christ in the world for others, where have you succeeded and where have you failed?

- Emmaus is for the development of Christian leaders. How are you a Christian leader in your church, your community, and in the world?

- Where has God called you to serve? How are you using the talents God gave you for His glory?

Points to Avoid

- Don't recount your Walk. Most everyone at the Gathering, except Visitors, have had an Emmaus experience.

- Don't relive your life. Focus on the FOURTH DAY.

- Don't write a sermon. This is personal testimony.

- Don't interject politics.

Procedure

- The Spiritual Director or Board Chair will lead the service as found in your Purple Pilgrim's Guide.

- Just before the talk, the community will sing the Hallalujah song, and while it is being sung you will come forward and one or two people will come forward with you to be praying for you as the song continues to be sung.

- Give your name, Walk/Flight/Journey number, and your Table name.

- Give your talk

- End with the phrase "DeColores"

- The Spiritual Director will resume with the service.
