A Gathering is a regular meeting of all Christians in a given area who have been on a Walk to Emmaus, Chrysalis, Cursillo, or other similar weekend. The Dayspring Emmaus Gatherings are hosted by and held at various churches in the Dayspring area. Gatherings are held the FOURTH Saturday every other month at 6:30 p.m. except the months in which Walks are held. (The fourth Saturday is not necessarily the last Saturday of the month, so be careful.) There is a change from this regular fourth Saturday schedule for the months of November and December because of the holidays. The combination November/December Gathering is held on the FIRST SATURDAY IN DECEMBER. When Walks are held, a Pio Party/Gathering is held the next Friday evening after the Women's Walk. The Pio Party/Gathering is held at Tattnall Campground.

Dayspring Emmaus Gatherings are covered dish dinners, so bring your dish to share and a hearty appetite. (That is, unless it is a Pio Party and you are a pilgrim just coming off a Walk and we're feeding you -- one last time.) Other things you need to bring are your name badge and your Purple Pilgrims Guide, and you may wear your cross at Gatherings. After dinner and fellowship over the meal, the group usually goes to the sanctuary of the church where there is singing, announcements, a short spiritual message, prayer, a Fourth Day speaker, and communion. Child care is provided and the cost paid out of the offering collected. Guests are welcome to attend Gatherings even if they have not been on a Walk. Guests are also welcome at the Pio Parties.
